General Terms and Conditions General Terms and Conditions Nerds Of Darts (NOD)Version: August 2025 Article I – Applicability These General Terms and Conditions apply to all individuals who participate in and/or are present at events organized by Nerds Of Darts (“NOD”), as well as events organized by third parties at NOD’s venue. Participants are required to review the General Regulations prior to attending an event. These regulations cover safety measures, house rules, and other binding provisions. Article II – Amendments NOD reserves the right to amend these General Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The most recent version is always available for review and shall apply. Article III – Participation Participation in NOD events is only permitted if the following conditions are met, unless otherwise stated: Participants must be at least 15 years of age. Participants must carry a valid passport or identity card, which may be requested on the day of participation. Registration and Payment Participation may occur through: Online reservation and payment via the official website for open events. Reservations are only valid through the official NOD website. NOD applies a “No Show” policy: if a participant does not attend an event after reserving a spot, no refund will be issued. Event fees are non-negotiable and may vary. Refunds of entry fees paid via iDeal are not possible. Article IV – Darts Only unmodified standard darts are permitted at NOD events: Full length, short, mega, and mega XL darts (brand and color do not matter). For safety reasons, these standard darts are required at all events. Compliance checks will be conducted regularly. Failure to comply will result in immediate removal from the event without refund. Any financial damages caused by violation of this rule will be recovered from the participant. The only allowed modification: adjusting the length of darts. All other modifications are prohibited. Article V – Environmental Rules I. Smoking and Open Fire Smoking is only allowed in designated areas. Smoking on the playfield is strictly prohibited. Cigarette butts must be disposed of in designated bins. Open flames are not permitted unless explicitly authorized by NOD. Unauthorized fire use may result in removal without refund. Further consequences may be applied by the venue. II. Waste All waste must be disposed of in the provided bins. Littering may result in removal without refund. III. Flora & Fauna Participants must respect plants and animals on the premises. No deliberate damage to trees, plants, or natural elements is permitted. Shooting at animals is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal without refund. Article VI – Blasters & FPS Limits Blasters must never be aimed at unsafe targets (e.g., spectators, staff, animals, vehicles). NOD imposes FPS (Feet Per Second) limits, measured with 1.0 gram darts: 150 FPS 200 FPS 250 FPS (absolute maximum) Rules on FPS Testing All FPS tests must use 1.0 gram darts unless otherwise specified by NOD. Blasters exceeding the maximum FPS will be disqualified until adjusted. FPS tests will be conducted before and during events using official NOD chronometers. Gameplay Rules Both single-shot and full-auto play is allowed unless restricted by the game mode. All blasters must be transported in a closed case or bag, separated from darts and magazines. Batteries may only be installed once inside the event premises. Prohibited Items Real firearms, knives, ammunition, explosives, homemade airsoft blasters, and pyrotechnics are strictly forbidden. Violation results in immediate removal without refund and potential sanctions. Rental Equipment Rental kits are available upon reservation and comply with NOD safety rules. Any deliberate damage to rental equipment will be charged to the participant. Article VII – Code of Conduct Vandalism of any kind is strictly prohibited. Damages will be charged to the responsible party. Violence, racism, or discriminatory behavior (physical or psychological) will result in immediate removal without refund. Drug possession or use is strictly prohibited before and during events. Violation results in immediate removal without refund. Badges, flags, or symbols related to extremist groups (e.g., Nazism) are strictly prohibited. Article VIII – Safety Zone Within designated Safety Zones, eye protection is not mandatory. Therefore, the following rules apply: All blasters must be set to “SAFE.” when possible. Magazines must be removed before entering. A few test shots must be fired safely before entry. Blasters must always be pointed in a safe direction, with fingers kept off triggers. Article IX – Playfield Rules Full face protection is strongly recommended. NOD accepts no liability for injuries if this advice is not followed. Eye protection (EN166 standard) is mandatory at all times on the playfield. Eye protection must remain on during gameplay. If goggles fog up, players must move to the Safety Zone to clear them. If goggles are lost, players must immediately call “BLIND MAN”; the game will be stopped. In case of an accident or dangerous situation, players must loudly call “DANGER” three times; the game will be stopped. Spectators are only permitted under escort by NOD or appointed Marshalls and must wear reflective vests. Article X – Hit Rules All body hits count as valid hits. Hits to the neck and head should be avoided where possible. When hit, players must loudly call “HIT”, raise their hand, and move to the Safety or Respawn Zone. Hits to blasters also count as player hits. “Dead men don’t talk” – eliminated players must return silently. Ricochet darts do not count as hits. Article XI – Emergencies and First Aid A certified first aid officer is present at all events. In case of an accident, inform staff immediately. Games will be paused, and players must gather at the Safety Zone. Follow all instructions from the first aid officer. In case of fire or evacuation, the official evacuation plan will be followed as communicated during the event briefing. Article XII – Marshalls Marshalls are appointed by NOD to supervise and enforce rules. Their tasks include: FPS testing before and during events Supervising gameplay and resolving disputes Ensuring players follow hit rules Providing information and enforcing regulations Checking entry documentation Coordinating breaks and assisting with supplies Whistle Signals 1 whistle: Start game 3 whistles: End game 5 whistles: Stop game immediately Marshalls will be clearly identifiable and introduced during the event briefing. Article XIII – Trading Only NOD and designated vendors may engage in trading activities (e.g., food sales, dart sales, blaster rentals) during events. Unauthorized trading results in immediate removal without refund. Article XIV – Liability NOD cannot be held liable for: Injuries sustained during events Loss, theft, or damage of personal property Misuse or malfunction of participant-owned equipment Participants are solely responsible for their own belongings and safety equipment.
